The most valuable luxury we have is our time, and being late/unorganized will limit the quality of all experiences you have- let's change that! While going through these photos, I realized all the things I was able to do in one day, all due to planning out the day accordingly. I started at an event with Majesty's Pleasure for a fresh manicure, then headed to the viral Danny & Coops for tasty cheesesteaks, explored the Morgan and Whitney Museum, and ended the day at the Kilian Perfume store. It was a great day, incorporating all the things I enjoy all due to the management of my time.

Now I will say that I am all for a spontaneous day, but even with that, there still is a need for direction. Luxury, is not in the purchases you make, it is how you choose to show up every day that makes you feel fulfilled. Constantly having an issue with time, could be due to many reasons, but preparing as best as you can will enhance the experiences you have. Here are a few tips that can help you take control and maximize the day fully.

  1. Sleep, Water, & Vitamins

We need about 6-8 hours of sleep to hit our R.E.M sleep ( the deepest stage of sleep) in order to give our bodies adequate time to rest and restore. Irregular sleep can impact how you function, and make decisions for the entire day. Aim for this range and you will instantly notice a difference in your productivity. You also want to ensure that your body is hydrated to maintain it's natural flow and limit headaches. If you find that your energy is still low, I highly recommend checking your vitamin levels to ensure all is normal. This can also impact how your energy is, which can cause you to be very tired and have a late start to the day.

  2. Organization Methods

It doesn't matter how amazing your memory is, you will not remember EVERYTHING! I highly recommend finding an organization method to keep your dates and appointments on track. What works for me is using a planner, and also keeping all appointments within my phone calendar. You can additionally try post its, a large board, a mini notebook, or digital planner. You also want to ensure you keep your space tidy. This can cause you to be late due to looking for the pieces of your outfit before heading out. This is a major time saver when preparing to start your day. Being consistent with organizing areas of your life, will not only assist with time, but will make you feel good!

  1. Taking A Shower Early

Now that we are sleeping well, drinking our water, and organizing our space, another quick fix that adds to a luxurious day is showering early. Something that I love is a calm slow morning. I like to take time to lather my body, smell the amazing body wash, and slowly moisturize my body with body butter. Giving yourself extra time in the morning or evening is a special moment just for you. You also enter the day calmly versus rushing. A slow morning is definitely a luxurious experience.

  2. Planning Outfits Ahead

What can take a bulk of time when trying to leave is figuring out what to wear. Sometimes what we envision in our minds does not translate when we actually put the outfit on. Taking the time to prep the look, select a fragrance ( this could also be just me! lol), and also iron if needed definitely saves time. Sometimes it takes me an hour or more just to figure out what to wear! This may not be the case for you, however planning the day before or setting extra time in the morning definitely helps. This can also help with your confidence, because when you look good, you most certainly feel that way as well.

  1. Map Out Location

Mapping out the location of your destination will help you understand the true time you need to leave the house. Before I leave, I map out where I’m going to have an approximate idea of how much time I’m taking to travel. Living in NYC, I also consider time I may take to find parking if I’m in area with limited spaces. Whether you are traveling by car or public transportation, getting an idea of travel time will definitely assist with arriving on time.

  1. Consideration Of Others

It is a privilege when someone wants to spend time with you, you also need to honor their time as well. Being chronically late is disrespectful to those who are excited to see you and connect. Of course things happen that can cause delays, and as long as you communicate, it at least shows some care. However, I truly believe if you keep this in mind, in addition to the other tips shared, it will not only elevate the experience you have with yourself but others.

Living a luxurious life is not measured by things, but mainly how you feel. You can have a great full day when things are planned properly and you know your stops along the way. Maximizing my time has definitely helped me get more out of my day and allows me to spend meaningful time with people I love and causes less stress for me. I know that it will do the same for you!

I would love to know your feedback on what helps you, or what tip you found the most valuable. Live luxuriously and on time! ❤️
